Purpose

This foundation course provides a thorough introduction to ITIL® Foundation (Version 5), focusing on digital product and service management, shared terminology, and the key models and principles of the ITIL® framework.

ITIL® Foundation (Version 5) places value creation in an AI and digital context and provides a comprehensive foundation for understanding how products and services are designed, developed, delivered, operated, supported and improved across organisations, technologies and suppliers.

The course provides a shared language and common frame of reference for working systematically with digital products and services, with an emphasis on collaboration, data-driven decision-making, automation, AI and continual improvement in modern organisations.

 

Course content

ITIL® Foundation (Version 5) expands the traditional focus on services by adding a clear product perspective. It integrates topics such as AI, automation, data-driven decision-making and value streams, aligned with the complexity of both small and large organisations.

The course introduces a shared end-to-end perspective on how digital products and services are created, developed, delivered, supported and improved through the interaction between organisations, technology, data and suppliers.

Language

The course material  is available in both English and Danish at no extra cost. Sample papers and exam is in English.

We use e-material that is designed for the ITIL 4 Foundation course. The material is available for PC, tablet and mobile phone, also offline.

The e-material is designed to be used on your own laptop.

Exam

The exam is an online, web-proctored exam on you own laptop with webcamera. The exam is in English and lasts 75 minutes—or 60 minutes if English is your native language. It consists of 40 straightforward multiple-choice questions and is closed-book. Read more about web-proctored exams here.

To pass the exam, you must answer 65% of the questions correctly—26 correct answers out of 40. Upon passing, you will receive a certificate.

You decide when and where to take the exam. As part of the course, you will receive a code that is valid for 11 months from the date of purchase.

Accreditation

Peopleteam is Accredited Training Organization (accredited by PeopleCert).

 

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites to the course. However, we recommend a general understanding of everyday life in an IT organization.
